artisans

The improvements in our artisans lives inspire and motivate us daily to make the Andean Collection a brand as distinguished for its ethics as for its style. Here, we’d like to introduce you to the hardworking artisans from Ecuador who hand make each piece from our collection.

Nancy and Carlos

Nancy and Carlos create jewelry in their home workshop and hope to one day meet the people that buy their jewelry. The couple looks forward to their continued relationship with the AC to save for their children’s education.

“It fills us with great pride to know that our work is appreciated throughout the world. Thank you for allowing us to make a living from our craft.”

Olga and Cesar

Prior to working with the AC, Olga sold grain at a local market and Cesar worked in a poncho workshop, often forgoing meals so their children could eat. Now they have consistent food and shelter, and are able to provide an education their children.

“Our life has been difficult, but our children will have a better future, thanks to the people like you who buy our jewelry.”

Viviana and Christian

Christian and Viviana work from their home and provide employment for various members of their community. They look forward to growing their home workshop and investing in new tools.

“We want to continue working to increase the work opportunities and sources of income in our town, and to involve as many people as possible with a consistency we can rely on. This is our dream.”
